Article Marketing With SEO Rich Content
Writing doesn’t have to be such a pain. Here are some easy ways to write more effectively so you get more out of every post and article.
Writing SEO rich content is a great way for you to increase online traffic and conversions.
It doesn’t matter how big or small your business is, this technique can really drive sales. The obvious way to beat your competition to the next customer is to optimize your website content to attract online shoppers.
The beauty of leveraging SEO rich content is that you can get significant results from a few minor changes and also get more results from LESS WRITING!!
One of the first steps to making your site or individual articles more search engine friendly is to invest some time into SEO based copy writing.
I thought it might be beneficial to breakdown some simple and easy ways to give your online copy some traffic driving punch.
A. Analyze your current search engine ranking first. Develop a benchmark from which you can measure future results. Use Google Analytics. Analyze your ranking for the top 5 keywords that your site is trying to rank for.
B. Identify whether you are really trying to rank for the correct keywords. This is important because as you gain more experience doing keyword research, you will find that what you thought were great keywords a few months ago are not your best keywords today. Reevaluate if need be so you are tracking the right words moving forward. Google’s free keyword tool is all you need. You can buy more robust tools, but even some of the guru’s still use Google’s free tool.
C. Begin the process of rewriting your site copy and create more keyword strategic SEO content. Remember it’s not about quantity, it’s about quality. A good rule of thumb is 2 to 3 percent, meaning for every 100 words of copy, use 2 or 3 of your keyword phrases. Ideally try and rank for 1 or 2 phrases per article or per post. Don’t focus so much on keyword use that your article loses it’s natural rhythm. Your copy needs to read well.
D. Although Google has placed much less importance on meta tags in recent years, it’s still helpful to pay attention to your title, your description and your meta keywords. Well written meta tags can’t hurt and may help so don’t ignore them completely
E. Keep in mind that SEO copy writing alone won’t get you conversions and sales. You have to be compelling, entertaining and engaging too. There is so much crap out there now, that in order to attract readers and get them to read through your content, you have to be interesting and even bold in some cases.
Stuffing a bunch of keywords into articles and thinking people are going to reward your efforts is like offering an all you can eat buffet and expecting that everyone who comes to eat there is going to leave a big fat tip.
People aren’t stupid, so don’t insult them. Every piece of content that you put online is a direct reflection on your character, your authority and your brand.
This stuff isn’t rocket science, but it is important that you treat your copy writing with respect.
SEO content needs to be good solid writing as well or the search engines may find you, but no one who finds you will stay. More importantly, they won’t come back, and rebuilding your reputation is ten times more difficult than starting out with a good reputation and building upon it.
